Lung Cancer Alliance Announces Winner Of Awareness Contest

Talia Gilbert from Oakland, CA to Star Along Side Dr. Lung Love in Next Video

Washington, DC [April 20, 2010] —Today, Lung Cancer Alliance (LCA) announced the winner of its contest to find the next co-star in the Dr. Lung Love awareness video series.  Talia Gilbert, a high school sophomore from Oakland, CA, recruited the most people to LCA’s Cause page on Facebook!  She has won a trip to Atlanta to star with Dr. Lung Love in his next awareness video for lung cancer.

Talia, who has been active in lung cancer advocacy in the San Francisco Bay Area, became drawn to the cause through a close family friend who is a long term lung cancer survivor.  “I am very excited to lend my voice and test my acting skills for this video,” said Gilbert.  “It will be a lot of fun and for a great cause!”

Filming for the video will take place during the first week of May at Glenridge Hall, www.glenridgehall.com, a famous estate on the outskirts of Atlanta which has been the site for many movies and tv series, including Driving Miss Daisy and Remember the Titans.  The final video will be releasesed mid-May.
