The Coping with Side Effects webinar series continues this year with topics like small cell lung cancer. Stay tuned for details, but in the meantime, learn tips for coping with shortness of breath, constipation & diarrhea, anxiety and fatigue.

SCIENCE & RESEARCH

There are a number of new lung cancer treatments in the pipeline we hope to see approved this year. Notably, we are excited about promising new studies for those with small cell lung cancer. Join our Weekly Breather e-newsletter to stay in-the-know on approvals and advancements in lung cancer research.

ADVOCACY

Each and every day, we continue to fight on behalf of the lung cancer community, educating our nation’s leaders on the importance of federal funding for lung cancer research, early detection and access to quality care.   increase federal research funding through the annual appropriations process.

This year we continue to build up the Congressional Lung Cancer Caucus. Make sure your representative in a member!

2018 is the 10th anniversary of the National Advocacy Summit, bringing together lung cancer advocates from across the nation to share their stories and raise the collective lung cancer voice on Capitol Hill. The event will take place in the summer of 2018. Stay tuned for details! 

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The National Advocacy Summit is not the only event celebrating a milestone, Shine a Light on Lung Cancer events will also turn double digits this year! Make sure your healthcare facility is planning to host an awareness event this November, Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

You don’t need to wait until November to shine a light on lung cancer. We hope you’ll shine a light all year long with Shine a Light Your Way, our online fundraising platform that makes it super easy to raise awareness and funds for the lung cancer community. Organize a neighborhood run/walk, host a movie night or simply email a group of friends. Here are the steps to make it happen!
