Goodbye 2018, hello 2019! With the new year comes new opportunity to recommit to your health and well-being. If you’re part of the 41% of Americans looking to set a New Year resolution, we can help! Here are four worthy commitments to consider this year.

  • FIND SUPPORT: Support in your lung cancer journey is beneficial whether you’re a twenty-year survivor, newly diagnosed or caring for a loved one. Get involved with our peer-to-peer support programs: Phone Buddy for patients and survivors and GUIDES for those caring for a loved one with lung cancer. Consider connecting with others in your community by searching our National Lung Cancer Support Group Network, a list of over 100 credible, vetted lung cancer support groups across the country.
  • GET SCREENED: Make health a priority! Talk to your doctor about your risk for lung cancer to see if a low-dose CT scan makes sense for you. Currently a low-dose CT scan is the only proven method to detect lung cancer at an early and treatable stage. Take it a step further by encouraging a loved one to do the same.
  • KNOW YOUR OPTIONS: It’s an exciting time for our community with so many treatment options available, however this can be overwhelming when deciding which path is best for you. Our LungMATCH program offers you the support you need to ask the right questions, find the best treatment and make the most of your treatment team. Call our specialists today!
  • GIVE BACK: Make a BIG difference in the lives of those touched by lung cancer. Whether you make a one-time donation or contribute over time by joining our Monthly Giving Club, your generosity will help save lives and strengthen our community.

In the first couple days of the year, commit to one thing to improve your health and your life this year. Still not sure? Call our HelpLine at 1-800-298-2436 or email support@go2.org to connect with one of our support staff members.
